A rainbow appeared this afternoon as we entered the Joshua Tree National Park. It followed us to our destination, Hidden Valley, about 25 minutes from the entrance. This image was perfect as the sun started to set and we enjoyed the late afternoon shooting our Hidden Valley sunset.

This is the an image from a new collection I’m currently shooting during the “Super Moon” that is happening right now in Joshua Tree National Park.

The collection is called “Joshua Tree by Moonlight” and right now, since the moon is closer to the Earth than it will be anytime this year, is the perfect time to go out and shoot these images.

Here is a taste of the show. A group of climbers standing around their campfire in the beginnings of the night talking about their days exploits on the cliffs behind them. This scene lit entirely by moonlight and the glow of their campfire.
